PhD Candidate
Management of Organizations
Walter A. Haas School of Business
University of California, Berkeley
I am a PhD candidate in the Management of Organizations Group at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Before beginning my doctoral degree, I earned three Masters' degrees, one in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, the second in Strategy from the Hong Kong University of Science, and the third in Management from the Nanjing University in China. My research focuses on corporate strategies from a sociological perspective. Specifically, I study foreign direct investment decisions, corporate governance practices, and organizational misconduct by emphasizing the social context in which the organization is embedded. My dissertation examines the social environment of the exercising and dating of executive stock-options. Most of my research has been focused on China, where high levels of institutional uncertainty increase the importance of social consideration.
