- Materials for Module 3 Paper. There is an
Excel file that will be the Appendix
to your paper. There are only four cells (shown in yellow)
that you can enter--the rest of the cells are locked. When you
enter the numbers you'll see the changes "ripple through" the
rest of the financial model.
- Fall 2009 Textbook Information
There are two
textbooks for ugba-10—follow
the link. Both books are new for F 09 (but will be reused in
Sp 10, so you could re-sell them)
- Name and Bio Sheet Instructions For section,
you will need a Name Card and Bio Sheet. The
instructions, examples and templates
are available online.
- E-mail
Please make sure to
include your real name. If your personal name isn't
displayed we may delete your e-mail without reading (because
of the fear of viruses). Please make use of the subject line
to summarize your message.
- Plagiarism The Internet and powerful search
engines give students access to a broad range of information.
However, now that students can do research at their own desks
rather than with a trip to the library, people have become
rather casual about citing their sources. The Haas School
takes the correct attribution of material to sources as very
important. Please read this
on-line article from the University of Indiana Campus
Writing Program, and make sure you know how to avoid
plagiarism.
- Ethics In the third week of each module, the
discussion often focuses on an ethical issue. The best way to
prepare for Ethics discussions is to work the "framework" on
this link.
- How am I doing? You can tell how you are doing
relative to the other students in the class by visiting the Statistics
page. (It takes us about 10 days after each exam to
process the data.) Information on viewing the web-posted
grades has been e-mailed to your registered e-mail address.
Welcome to Undergraduate Business Administration 10
 ugba-10, Principles of Business, is taught
in five, 3-week modules. There are three instructors, one of whom will be
responsible for each module. One of the instructors serves as the Course Manager to whom
all procedural questions (e.g. special accommodations, schedule problems, logistical difficulties)
should be addressed. Each module ends with an in-class exam. In addition there are weekly one-hour
discussion sections led by seven Graduate Student Instructors which you must attend. You will be
given a detailed outline at the beginning of each module, which will list the professor's office
hours. E-mail is the preferred method of communication.

This web site will be updated frequently. This is the place to check for up-to-date announcements.
Please note that lecture notes are placed on the site as the class progresses, not all at once. (If you get a message that says "File Not Found" it just means that the lecture is not ready yet.)
