My research centers on firm performance, venture capital, and the organizational form of new ventures. Specifically, my job market paper investigates how bargaining power affects contract design between venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. I use a proprietary data set of venture capital contracts spanning the years 2004-2009 and find that certain contractual rights affect firm peformance.

Before Berkeley, I worked in the finance industry in New York, London and India. I specialized in structuring and analyzing investments in the telecommunications and software sectors. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
