Research Judiciary I am interested in developing and testing a positive theory of the judiciary. Institutions and Policy Determination
Telecommunications Some of my collaborators on telecommunications research are Shane Greenstein, from UIUC, and Svein Ulset from SNF, Norway.
Energy/Electricity Most of my current energy work deals with the movement towards a competitive electricity market. For the last two years I have been working with Shmuel Oren, Pravin Varaiya, and Felix Wu, all from Berkeley. Some of our recent work has created substantial opposition from the establishment.
Airlines My main concern has been the analysis of the evolution of the industry since deregulation, and in particular the role of hub and spoke networks. My recent collaborators are Jan Brueckner from UIUC, Steve Berry, Yale University and Mike Carnall, UIUC.
